Seeing the Person Before the Circumstance

Speaking, workshops, training, and organizational consultation for the people who support others through education, disability, illness, caregiving, grief, and the end of life.

The Practice

What Person Centered Practice Asks

Every person who comes through your doors brings a story that began long before your organization met them. In the rhythm of daily work, that story can slip from view: not because anyone overlooks it, but because your team is responding to real needs within systems built for speed.

Person centered practice restores the person to the center of the conversation. Not as a statement of values on a wall, but as something your team can do on an ordinary Tuesday afternoon, with the caseload they already have.

Organizations see tangible change when they use this approach. Conversations deepen. Documentation gains meaning. Teams feel more connected. People experience care that reflects who they are, not just what they need.

This is the work I do with organizations: transforming a shared belief into a practical, repeatable way of working that keeps each person’s story visible.
